Heather Simone

Yorkshire born and in-part bred (via Paris, Germany and Libya) Heather Simone is a contemporary artist with no formal training but with over twenty five years experience of forever learning her craft.

Her larger than life interpretations of flora, fauna, still life and studies in trompe l’oeil bring the ordinary to majestic life.

Heather’s focus is to transform the normal, everyday objects in our lives into explorations of colour, shape and movement. Larger than life flower paintings, whimsical fruit studies, and trompe l’oeil pieces that create worlds through depths and perspective are some of her favourite subjects.

With a nod towards realism, the images show her obsession with detail and look to the values of the ‘Old Masters’ with a refreshing, contemporary style always painting with versatility and vibrancy of colour.
